AN OLD SHEFFIELD PLATE EPERGNE,
MARK OF T. & J. CRESWICK, CIRCA 1825,
The spirally fluted baluster column supporting a bead-edged openwork bowl with acanthus leaf sides, four detachable foliate arms each supporting a small dish-holder, on square base with incurved, stepped sides & acanthus leaf & shell decoration, raised on four fluted bracket feet, complete with one large & four smaller cut-glass dishes of a later date, 14¾ in. high (37.3 cm.), 15 in. span (38.5 cm.).
