A Chinese Longquan celadon glazed dish, 15th century
with a slightly convex well rising to the shallow fluted sides and barbed rim, supported on a short foot ring, with a moulded decoration at the well, the cavetto and undersides incised with foliate floral sprays, covered with a sea-green glaze except for the band at the base burnt orange, wood stand -- 11 7/8in. (30.2cm.) diam.
