of compressed globular form rising to the flat everted rim, supported on three feet in the form of mythical beasts, the exterior incised with a foliate scroll, covered with a pale celadon glaze except for the well and the plugged base -- 6 7/8in. (17.4cm.) diam.; and a blue and white bottle, painted with panels enclosing pagodas and a figure in a mountainous river landscape alternating with chrysanthemum flowers amidst rockwork, all framed by diaper grounds, the top with a ruyi-head border encircled by floral sprays, 18th century -- 10 5/16in.
