A Victorian brass and white marble striking skeleton clock with deBaufre escapement, third quarter 19th Century
The lyre frame with four large baluster pillars, both eight day trains with going barrels, wheels with five crossings, going train with deBaufre's double-wheel escapement with plain steel five-arm balance, the strike train with pin-countwheel on the back plate, hour strike on bell above, the pierced and engraved Roman chapter ring with blued spade hands, signed W. Jackson/LONDON on a silvered plaque secured to the base of the frame, on later oval white marble base -- 21 in. (53.5 cm.) high; under glass dome
