The pagoda hood with outset flued columns with cast Corinthian capitals, the trunk door flanked by canted angles with inlaid pilasters, the 12 in. wide brass dial with urn and foliate spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring with fleur-de-lys half hour markers, matted centre with subsidiary seconds ring, signed on a convex disc in the arch James/Green/NANTWICH, ringed winding holes and with engraving around the date aperture, cut steel hands, the eight day movement with four pillars, anchor escapement and rack strike on bell; dial and movement third quarter 18th Century, case early 19th Century -- 95½ in.
