A GERMAN PORCELAIN COFFEE-CAN AND SAUCER
CIRCA 1790-1800, INCISED III AND W TO SAUCER
Finely painted with continuous bands of specimen birds perched on branches including a blue tit, goldfinch, jay, chaffinch, woodpecker and a hawk, the interior of the can and angled handle richly gilt, the gilt well of the saucer enclosing a central medallion with a green rosette on a gilt-dotted pink ground, gilt band rims (slight wear to gilding, slight scratching to well of saucer)
