A well engineered 1½in. scale working model of an Aveling & Barford DX single horizontal cylinder petrol road roller of circa 1930,
built by Ashdown Models, with fuel tank and single cylinder hopper cooled engine with Lodge sparking plug with gear and cam controlled ignition, advance and retard, exhaust and inlet valves operated through cams and rocking levers, air filter, fuel valve and regulator, twin disc flywheels with chain and gear drive to rear axle with lever and quadrant reverse operating variable friction disc drive. Chassis details include worm and quadrant steering, lever operated handbrake to rear axle, exhaust pipe and silencer, concealed battery and three-quarter length canopy, finished in green, black with yellow lining and polished brightwork -- 35.5 x 56cm. (14 x 22in.)
