FIRST EDITION of Gilliers' treatise, in alphabetical order, of the art of candying fruit and sculpting it, equally appreciated, according to Vicaire, by those interested in gastronomy and by artists and goldsmiths for the fine plates illustrating contemporary French table pieces. Gilliers was the chief confectioner to Stanislav I Leszczynski, the King of Poland then living in France. Vicaire 404-06.
