First published in Augsburg in 1612, this is the author's most celebrated work. The highly elaborate and decorative engravings show the family trees of the royal and noble houses of Europe incorporating portraits and coats-of-arms against a backdrop of city panoramas taken from Braun & Hogenberg's Civitates Orbis Terrarum. Unusually, the work also includes the genealogies of the Turkish Emperors. cf. Graesse I, 58.
