Momoyama period (early 17th century)
Forged in one piece with long pronounced beak and with two florets applied to the cheeks, the chin with two pegs to hold the helmet cords, the surface covered with black lacquer, the interior red lacquer; fitted with a three-lame solid-plate iron throat guard lacquered to match and laced in black
