A Shinshinto Katana in Mounts
Late Edo period (19th century), signed Oite Kofu Inaba Hamabe Kenryushi Toshiyuki tsukuru and dated Ansei sannen nigatsu bi (a day in the second month of the third year of Ansei [1856]) and inscribed Goto Toshikage kore (o) tamesu futobuto saidan donen gogatsu futsuka oite toto reigo (Goto Toshikage cut two bodies on the second day of the fifth month of the same year)
Sugata [configuration]: hon-zukuri, iori-mune, chu-kissaki, torii-zori
Kitae [forging pattern]: itame of jinie
Hamon [tempering pattern]: gunome midare with ashi and yo
Boshi [tip]: midare-komi
Nakago [tang]: ubu with sujikai file marks and two holes
Habaki [collar]: single, gold
Nagasa [length from tip to beginning of tang]: 66.4cm.
Motohaba [width at start of tempered edge]: 3.1cm.
Sakihaba [width before tip]: 2cm.
In shirasaya [wood storage scabbard]

With a koshirae comprising a saya lacquered to simulate wood burl and with black-lacquer rings at the koiguchi and mounted with an oval sentoku migaki-ji tsuba decorated with simple silver-inlaid dots; the tsuka with shakudo ishime-ji fuchi-kashira with squirrles and grape vines in taka-bori and gold taka-zogan, signed Juai and with kao; copper and shakudo menuki formed as Daruma and Hotei
With a Tokubetsu Kicho Token (Especially Extraordinary Sword) certificate no. 147979 issued by the Nihon Bijutsu Token Hozon Kyokai (Society for the Preservation of the Japan Art Sword), dated 1943.9.1 (2)
