A large Tibetan bronze model of the Dhyanibodhisattva Avalokitesvara, 19th Century
standing on a lotus throne with eleven heads decorated in gilt lacquer and eight of his one thousand hands, his primary hands in namaskara mudra with three of the hands holding attributes including a kalasa containing the elixir of immortality and a chakra wheel, wearing a long dhoti with pendant beaded tassels -- 16in. (40.7cm.) high.
