A Chinese famille verte underglaze blue hexagonal saucer-dish, Tianqi Chongzhen
with indented corners, enamelled in the well with two insects feeding off pomegranates, the cavetto and rim with quatrefoil floral cartouches alternating with triangular panels with a seated figure beneath a tree, each panel variously reserved on wan, cash and basket weave diaper grounds, the reverse with geometric motifs -- 5 7/16in. (13.6cm.) diam.
