A Chinese blue and white bowl, late Ming Dynasty
with petal moulded body and foliate rims, painted to the interior well with a mythical four-legged beast, with fangs and bushy tail, within a fenced garden landscape, the rims with alternating panels of taotie masks and geometric designs above shaped cartouches of peach sprays and scrolls - 8 3/8in. (21.3cm.) diam.
