A POLISH SASH, LATE 18TH, EARLY 19TH CENTURY
woven with pink,blue and white stripes terminating in a rosette border--119in. x 23in. (285cm. x 55cm.); a Safavid sash fragment with one partial end panel with salmon pink flowering shrubs beneath beige, green and pink floral stripes--6.5in. x 42in. (16cm. x 101cm.); and half a Polish sash, woven with the letters S F in the corners--141in. x 6in. (340cm. x 14cm.); and another Polish sash, the yellow ground woven with floral stripes, the ends with Persian style flowering carnation shrubs, woven with the initials MK JK in each corner with cyrillic equivalent, probably for Kniazia Jusupova in the village of Kupavno near Bogorodsk, Russia, active 1803-1833--25in. x 100in.
