A IVORY INLAID RECTANGULAR CHEST, INDIA OR OTTOMAN, CIRCA 18TH CENTURY
Of rectangular form with brass handles either sides, the front opening down to reveal six drawers each with gilt copper pendant attached to a quatrefoil handle, the top and sides with central panel of inlaid ivory diamond shapes with smaller diamonds between, and outer band of repeated inlaid styalised flowers - 13¼ x 9¾ x 8½in. (34 x 25 x 21.6cm.)
Provenance
The Doorn-Koller Collection formed in the late 19th and early 20th Century.
