WYLD'S Globe of the Earth .. Leicester Square 1856, made up of two sets of 12 hand-coloured engraved split half-gores, with graduated equatorial and ecliptic, an analemma, explorers' tracks with dates and notes, nation states variously coloured with towns, cities, rivers, mountains, deserts and caravan routes; WYLD'S Globe of the Heavens .. Calculated to the Year 185[..], made up of two sets of 12 hand-coloured engraved split half-gores laid to the celestial poles, with graduated equatorial with four colures and ecliptic with two colures and twilight zone, the pictorial constellations with stars to various orders of magnitude and variously labelled according to a key of astronomers; each with an engraved brass hour dial and stamped meridian, the paper horizon with degree (x2), Zodiac and calendar scales and wind directions, on a mahogany ebonised stand with turned balusters legs and X-frame baluster stretcher, losses and discolouring to papers (2)
