The circular tooled dial with Roman chapters signed 'PIOLAINE RUE ST DENIS NO 39' with leaf-tip edge and twin-barrel movement with adjusting pendulum set within paired columns supporting a rectangular stepped pediment with leaf-tip and dentilled cornice and a frieze decorated with floral swags, the stepped base decorated in relief with scrolling foliage, above a moulded and leaf-cast rim and block feet
