Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch in 1901. It obtained a Geneva Observatory rating certificate on 16 August 1905 and was sold on 24 July 1907.
According to the registers of the Geneva Observatory, the present watch participated at the 1905 timing contest where it achieved 143.7 points. It had been prepared and adjusted by the renowned precision adjuster C. Batifolier.
The present watch has never been offered in public before and is believed to be the only second example of such an exceedingly rare hunter case lever chronometer watch signed Patek Philippe to have appeared in public to date.
Our researches have resulted in the discovery of just one other example of such silver hunter case chronometer, only known from archival information as it was exhibited at the Paris 1878 exhibition.
