A FRENCH SILVER AND SILVER-GILT PART TABLE SERVICE
APPARENTLY NO MAKER'S MARK, PARIS, CIRCA 1890
Old English pattern, applied with a coat-of-arms, comprising:
Fourteen table-spoons
Twenty-two table-forks, six gilt
Twelve dessert-spoons
Twelve dessert-forks
Twenty-three teaspoons, six gilt
A fish serving fork and knife
A soup ladle
Two sifting spoons
A serving spoons
A pair of asparagus tongs, apparently unmarked
A pair of sugar tongs
and the following with filled handles:
Fourteen cheese-knives with stainless steel blades
Nine fruit knives with silver blades
Nineteen table knives with stainless steel blades, six gilt
220 oz. (6,826 gr.) weighable silver
The arms are those of Maria Laetitia, Princess Bonaparte, (1866-1926) who married her uncle, Amedeo I of Spain, 1st Duke of Aosta, (1845-1890), second son of Vittorio Emanuele II, King of Italy, (1820-1878)
