A VICTORIAN LADY'S SILVER-MOUNTED TRAVELLING DRESSING-TABLE SET,
MARK OF THOMAS WHITEHOUSE, LONDON, 1862,
Contained in brass-inlaid coromandel box, comprising ten glass bottles, eight with silver covers engraved with foliate scrolls within diaperwork straps, the remaining two with glass stoppers, also ten manicure & other small items, four of which have mother-o'-pearl handles, & include a propelling pencil & a corkscrew for scent bottles, lined in blue velvet, the cover inset with brass plaque engraved with coronet & initials "H H" for Countess Henrietta Howth, wife of the Earl of Howth, Ireland, (family name St.Lawrence), complete with key.
