A VICTORIAN GENTLEMAN'S SILVER-GILT MOUNTED CUT GLASS TRAVELLING DRESSING TABLE SET IN BRASS-BOUND COROMANDEL BOX,
MARK OF RAWLINGS & SUMMERS, LONDON, 1848,
Comprising four bottles & six boxes all with engraved mounts featuring birds amidst foliage, also an inkwell en suite, each with an initialled gold disc at centre, an engraved shaving beaker en suite and three layers of various fittings including a double-ended scent bottle with spirally fluted glass body, unmarked but with name of Hunt & Roskell inside one cap, a double-ended medicine spoon, maker's mark indistinct, ?H, London, 1861, 3 pairs of steel scissors, various mother-o'-pearl handled items including a paper knife-cum-pen knife, a gold-coloured engine-turned propelling pen & pencil, unmarked but inscribed for Hunt & Roskell, a dip pen, 4 manicure items, another steel implement & an unmarked silver-gilt combined tweezers & ear-scoop, the box lined in dark blue velvet.
