A 19TH CENTURY RUSSIAN SILVER-GILT CASTER IN EARLY 18TH CENTURY FRENCH REGENCE TASTE,
MARK OF FEDOR VERCHOVZEV, ST. PETERSBURG, CIRCA 1855,
Octagonal form with stiff leafage around foot, chased panels to sides with monogrammed cartouche surmounted by a coronet to front, cover pierced with ribbons & shells separated by vertical bands engraved with stylised leafage, capped by a flower finial, 8 5/8 in. high (22 cm.), 19 oz.
