A Chinese famille rose vase, 20th century
enamelled with a boy carrying a large peach over his shoulder approaching Shoulao unrolling a scroll held by Cao Guojiu beside He Xiangu and another immortal holding a boy, the reverse with an inscription and seals, iron-red Ju ren tang zhi ('Hall where Benevolence Resides') mark; and a pair of famille rose vases, decorated with two cartouches enclosing a bird swooping towards a floral spray, reserved on sgraffiato yellow ground with scattered fruit and floral sprays, 20th century -- the yellow ground vases 9¼in. (23.5cm.) high. (3)
