Three tier box with recessed brass handles, ivory signature plaque to front, brass bowl numbered 5705 and gimbal, silvered and engraved dial with 56 hour up/down and subsidiary seconds ring, signed TH.KNOBLICH IN HAB'.A.MEIER/HAMBURG, FRÜHER ALTONA, gold main hands, movement with spot-finished plates, chain and fusee with maintaining power, Earnshaw escapement with steel spring detent, cut bimetallic balance with cylindrical compensation weights and polished steel helical spring; tipsy key, box key
