A Chinese 'Longquan' celadon yen yen vase, 15th 16th century
of ovoid form rising to the tall waisted neck and flared trumpet shaped mouth, supported on a spreading foot, the body carved and incised with an undulating leafy floral scroll between inverted lappets and a border of petal panels, the neck with plantain emerging from a band of upright lappets, covered with a sea green glaze except for the foot ring burnt orange -- 12in. (30.4cm.) high.
