AN INDIAN TULWAR; AN INDO-PERSIAN STEEL MACE; AND A PERSIAN DHAL

The first with watered blade chiselled with a series of figural cartouches involving religious and mythological subjects and picked-out in gold koftgari over its entire length on both sides, iron hilt chiselled with small designs of scrollwork in low relief, the knuckle- guard terminal cut in the form of a tiger's head, enriched with gold koftgari of flowers and border patterns, and in a fabric-covered wooden scabbard (fabric worn); the second with bulbous head fitted with central spike and a lateral band of eight further spikes, and on a decorated multi-stage haft (the dhal cleaned and rubbed).
