AN AUSTRIAN HUSSAR'S SABRE; AND A FURTHER FIVE REGULATION SWORDS
The first late 18th/19th Century
The first with curved single-edged blade etched with various motifs on both sides at the forte, iron stirrup-hilt, ribbed leather-covered grip, and in its steel scabbard; the others comprising a German light cavalry sword; a leadcutter by Robert Mole & Son, Birmingham; a Royal Artillery officer's sword; an 1856 pattern British pioneer's sword, and a brass-hilted Band sword in its original scabbard.
