Two pairs of Chinese blanc-de-chine cups
Kangxi (1662-1722)
Comprising a pair of libation cups derived from the shape of a rhinoceros horn cup, moulded in relief with a sea-dragon being looked at by a gnarling dragon emerging from the clouds, the reverse with a crane looking at a deer beside a pine-tree, 15.5 cm. wide; and a pair of octagonal shallow cups applied with two dragon-head handles, moulded with flowering branches, 8.2 cm. wide, rim cracks (4)
