Second edition. "After an excellent description of the structure of the human testis, this work discusses in detail the various clinical conditions Cooper had encountered during forty years of practice. Many illustrative case histories are recorded to show the great variety of afflictions to which the testis may be subjected... The book also contains his classic description of cancer of the scrotum in chimney sweeps, which was a serious occupational hazzard in coal-burning England. The volume was edited by Bransby Blake Cooper (1792-1853), surgeon to Guy's Hospital and Cooper's nephew. Heirs of Hippocrates 1230 (1845 edition).
