2 volumes comprising: text, 4o (319 x 248 mm) and atlas, 2o (377 x 271 mm). 27 lithographs (1 double-page, 12 partially or wholly hand-colored) by G. Childs and John Holt (light spotting or browning to a few). Original brown cloth, covers gilt-lettered (small repairs and minor losses to spines, slight fading to covers). Provenance: A. Bernardes de Oliveira (bookplate on front pastedowns).
FIRST EDITION (and only edition) of Cooper's anatomical sequel to his Illustrations of the Diseases of the Breast.
