Provenance
Thomas W. Beaumont, by whom given to his wife, Helen, according to a note of provenance ('Nov 9th 1969 Dear Helen, These two pens were the property of T.E. Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia). They were trodden on by a camel & broken. I exchanged them & let him have one of mine in good condition for them. That was in Abu Lissan in 1918. I thought they would make a nice souvenir for you, so accept them with my love. They may be worth something one day. Tom. T.W. Machine Gunner Thomas Beaumont's memoir and papers relating to his service with the Hejaz Armoured Car Company in Palestine 1917-18 are held in the Imperial War Museum Department of Documents.
