A SPODE STONE CHINA PART DESSERT SERVICE
Circa 1820, blue printed pseudo Chinese character lozenge and SPODE STONE CHINA mark, pattern no. 2219
Printed in blue and enriched in gilt in the 'Bude' pattern with flowering bamboo and lotus issuing from rockwork within a gilt Van Dyke band, the border with lotus, brown line rims, comprising:
Two lozenge-shape sauce-tureens and covers and a stand, 9 5/8 in. (24.3 cm.) long, the stand
4 rectangular dishes, 10½ in. (26.7 cm.) long
4 oval dishes, 10 5/8 in. (27 cm.) long
3 square dishes, 7¾ in. (19.5 cm.) square
15 plates, 8 1/8 in. (20.5 cm.) diam.
