Iron-red script crowned Regent China and New Bond Street mark for 1816-1840 or impressed uppercase mark for 1847-1852, black pattern no. 927 to most pieces
Printed in iron-red and enriched in shades of black and touches of gilt in the 'Indian Stork' pattern with two storks at the left facing a fenced garden enclosing flowering plants issuing from rockwork, the border with the crest of the Carmichael Clan above the motto 'TOUT JOURS PREST' (Always Ready) and with similar flower sprays, comprising:
An oval platter, 14¼ in. (36 cm.) long
Two oval platters, 10 in. (25.5 cm.) long
Twelve soup plates, 9¾ in. (24.5 cm.) diam.
Twenty-nine dinner plates, 10 in. (25.5 cm.) diam.
Eleven dinner plates with no crest or gilding, the decoration enriched in ochre, 10 in. (25.5 cm.) diam, (55)

The crest is that of the Carmichael Clan, Lanarkshire. The service was likely ordered in honor of the marriage of the 7th baronet, Sir Wyndham Carmichael Anstruther (1793-1869) to Meredith Maria Wetherell on 24 July 1824.
