A BACTRIAN CORNELIAN AND GOLD BEAD NECKLACE
PROBABLY 3RD/EARLY 1ST MILLENNIUM B.C. AND LATER
Composed of biconical and cylindrical cornelian beads interspersed with gold spacer beads, with a central gold pendant in the form of a stylized female figure with pierced pin-shaped head, navel and knees indicated, with two horizontal rows of raised dots above the pubic area, restrung, some beads of later date
Necklace 16½ in. (42 cm.) long; pendant 2 5/8 in. (6.7 cm.) high
