Lot Essay

Intended to be a pair, these examples represent some of the last models Schönheit created in the style of his predecesor Acier. 'The Noble Decision' is after a drawing by Schenau. For a further discussion and line drawing of these models, see Clarke, op. cit., pp.53-54 and p.108, pl. 185 and 187.
