An underglaze blue and red tea set, Makuzu Kozan, early 20th Century
comprising a teapot and cover, the side handle of waisted cylindrical form with stylised apertures to the terminal, a water jug with moulded reishi fungus spray handle, and five teacups, each painted with leafy sprays of peaches, the foliage in underglaze blue, sealed mark to base -- 5¼in. (13.4cm.) wide max, fitted wood box, signed and sealed Makuzu Kozan, inscribed ..Kozan ko(?)isaku (made before Kozans death). (7)
