Illustrated throughout, including some chromolithographs, lithographed titles in some volumes after designs by Konstantin Somov, Ivan Bilibin, and others. (Without plate number 93 in atlas vol. VI, occasional spotting and occasional soiling.) Uniform contemporary blue-black morocco, sides titled in gilt, white moiré paper endpapers (extremities lightly rubbed, some endpapers spotted).
ALL 14 VOLUMES OF THIS IMPORTANT PERIODICAL, initially edited and designed by Benois. A number of issues were entirely devoted to the various Museum and Palace Collections in St. Petersburg, and the set as a whole includes numerous invaluable reproductions of some of the finest paintings, sculptures and art objects in Russian collections before their nationalization and dispersal.
