Shaped oval and with gadrooned rim, engraved with a coat-of-arms below a baron's coronet, each marked on the reverse, the backs further engraved with a number and a scratchweight 'No. 1 38=2½'; 'No. 3 38=12' and 'No. 5 38=13'

The arms are those of Monson, for John, 2nd Baron Monson (1727-1774), who succeeded to the title on the death of his father in 1748. (3)
