A grey and russet jade 'deer' group, late 16th early 17th century
the two recumbent animals carved side by side looking at each other, each with its legs tucked under the body, variously holding in their mouths a lingzhi fungus and a bamboo spray, the stone of grey-apple tone with russet inclusions -- 6¼in. (15.8cm.) long.
