JIAQING IRON-RED FOUR-CHARACTER MARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1796-1820)

Finely enamelled and highlighted in iron-red and gilt with the seated figure of the poet Libo reclining pensively on a bundle of scrolls beside a wine jar and ewer, his turquoise robes detailed with intricate designs and falling into folds at his feet, flanked by two lengthy inscriptions and a flowering lotus stem
3¼ in. (8.2 cm.) diam.
