A FINE FAMILLE ROSE RUBY-GROUND 'LANDSCAPE' MEDALLION BOWL
DAOGUANG SIX-CHARACTER SEALMARK AND OF THE PERIOD (1821-1850)

The exterior of the round sides enamelled with four circular panels containing figures in lake side landscapes, one in grisaille, two with additional sepia and pale enamels, the last in rose-verte enamels, all on a graviato ruby-red ground embellished with lotus sprays, the interior with a stylised eight-point flower-head radiating blue leaves suspending beaded chains
5 13/16 in. (14.8 cm.) diam.

Several bowls of this pattern have previously been sold at auction, including one at Christie's Hong Kong, 29 September 1992, lot 612; and a pair at Chrisitie's Hong Kong, 27 April 1997, lot 767.
