The sitter appears to be the same as for the previous lot, and the artist's father has been suggested. He appears in several images produced circa 1630, the year in which Harmen Gerritz. van Rijn died.

etching, 1630, a very good impression of this rare print, with thread margins, a pale unobtrusive brown stain at the left, a tiny skilfull repair to the tip of the lower right sheet corner, the left sheet edge with minor wear, minor surface dirt on the reverse
