A silver gilt and cloisonné enamel cigarette-case
Moscow, 1908-1917, Cyrillic mark FS, possibly for Fedor Stroganov
Oblong with rounded corners, painted in a central panel of en plein enamel with floral scrolls on cream ground, the reverse with stylized blossom on pink ground within turquoise pellet border, each side with borders of vari-coloured and shaded floral scrolls, pellets, beading and trelliswork on green blue and black grounds, with cabochon red stone pushpiece, the interior with a Russian inscription, marked inside cover and base
4¼ in. (10.8 cm.) long
The Russian inscription reads : From the New Kostromskoi Linen Manuf[tory] for Simeon Mikhailovich Stolyarov 25th March 1912
