The circular glazed and white-enamelled dial with Roman and Arabic numerals and twin-barrel movement signed 'Regnault à Paris', surmounted by an acanthus-wrapped cornice and a vase finial with gadrooned lid and handles shaped as rams' heads, issuing to the sides fruited laurel garlands from foliate paterae, above a pierced tapering body cast with leaf-tip and acanthus scrolls
