A group of six Japanese netsuke, 19th Century
the first two of ivory, one of a farmer cutting into a large gourd with his hatchett, signed Ryoji; another of a stone carver, signed Muneyuki; all others of wood: one of a seated blind Amma, trying to lift the stone of strength; a fisherman pulling at his loin cloth caught within a clam; a stone carver at work; and a woman beating cloth -- 1 3/16in. (3cm.) high. (6)
