The gorge case with foliate scroll engraved mask to the dials, white enamel Roman dial with blued steel Breguet hands and recessed centre for visible Brocot escapement with jewelled pallet stones, the perpetual calendar below with a penny moon and indicating mean time at noon with subsidiaries for the days of the week, date and the months with their zodiacal symbols, the twin barrels movement with Brocot regulation for steel rod pendulum with twin mercury jar bob and striking the hours and half hours on a bell, stamped on the back plate for Achille Brocot and numbered 6539, the calendar work below with conforming maker's stamp, manual adjustment for date/month and days/moon and indication of the four year cycle
