A LARGE GROUP OF MAINLY ROMAN BRONZE FIBULAE
1ST-4TH CENTURY A.D. AND LATER
Including a fibula in the form of a bird; a horse mount and another bird-shaped mount; two 'knee' fibulae, one of tinned bronze; a hinged fibula with divided arched bow and canine mask at one side; six crossbow fibulae with knobbed terminals, one with traces of tinned decoration; all circa 1st-4th Century A.D.; four fibulae of Aucissa type, the hinged arched bow with longitudinal ribbing; four fibulae of Hod Hill type, one tinned, another with side knobs, and two with lateral mouldings; a fibula of Langton Down type with obscured spring and wide reeded bow; a similar Rosette fibula with reeded bow and fan tail with semicircle between the two, all circa 1st Century A.D.; a disc fibula, the flat disc with concentric rings and knobs around the perimeter, 1st-2nd Century A.D.; a penannular fibula of 'Omega' type, 2nd Century B.C./A.D.; and an Italic leech-shaped fibula, circa 8th-6th Century B.C.; some with pins missing(a lot)
