Cylindrical and on a spreading foot, the rim and base engraved with gilt-heightened foliage and strapwork, with a beaded and mask-capped scroll handle, the hinged cover similarly engraved with a spire finial, engraved inside the cover with a coat-of-arms, marked on foot and on cover

The arms are those of Faber, for John Faber, an administrator in Puelach, Bavaria, in circa 1620.
