THE CUP WITH MARK OF HEINRICH STRAUB, THE COVER WITH THE MARK OF JEREMIAS RITTER, BOTH NUREMBERG, CIRCA 1600
The lobed cup on a spreading lobed foot, the stem with scroll brackets and silver foliage calyx, the rim engraved with exotic birds within foliage scrolls, the detachable cover lobed and with a later finial cast as a bishop, the base applied with a plaque engraved with an inscription dated 1711, marked near rim and on cover bezel
